Cloisonne' A very old art form that was practiced in ancient Byzantium and China. An enameling technique in which thin wire partitions are filled with enamel. First, delicate strips of copper wire are bent to create a design, then soldered onto the bead surface. The spaces are then filled with different colored enamels. Finally, the bead is fired and polished several times to produce the desired effect.
